ABOUT KENAUTICS

Our mission is to provide reliable, accurate, mission-critical subsea navigation equipment for the underwater diver and the subsea operator.

Kenautics is a small, privately funded, non-traditional, defense contractor, founded in 2015 as a Nevada Corporation with personnel in San Diego.  Our focus was to serve the Mission of the U.S. and the friendly nation's Special Operational Forces (SOF) and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams.  Kenautics built the first fully U.S. designed, built, and produced COTS diver navigation system, called “DiNIS”, based entirely on an open architecture approach, which allows for both customization (Modified COTS or “MOTS”)  and “future-proofing”.  

Our purpose is to provide “Best of Breed”, military-grade, U.S.-quality technology solutions that far exceeded the performance of our foreign competitors.  

The team was built from a small group of patriotic personnel with over 150 man-years of domain experience, coupled with strategic partnerships with Trusted Partners, including both large multi-billion dollar U.S. Defense Contractors and small commercial businesses. 

Various team members have U.S. Navy backgrounds and multiple members of our Board of Directors have EOD operational experience and Science and Technology (S&T) experience.  Team members have also been chief and supporting designers of 5 generations of diver navigation systems supplied to the U.S. SOF and EOD teams since 1999, as well as multiple generations of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) currently used by the U.S. Navy and Marines.  Every member of the team has defense contracting experience and some have DARPA product development background.  Our software team also has capability in the autonomous vehicle (AUV) area and has performed under NAVSEA and ONR-Global contracts.  Under those contracts, a TRL-6 autonomous diver/AUV interactive hybrid system based on DiNIS was made operational, which will lead to DiNIS having AUV, hybrid diver-AUV, and hybrid diver-ROV capabilities. We also maintain sales relationships in 15 countries and service capabilities on 2 continents.

This relatively unique business model allows Kenautics to maintain a small company's nimble and rapidly responsive posture while assuring financial flexibility and risk-sharing through its larger partners.

Kenautics is a Designer, manufacturer, and producer of underwater Diver Navigation Products with dual-frequency sonar and video imaging.  We are also a Research and Development company focused on the development of underwater navigation and imaging technologies – sonar and electro-optic – for diver systems and subsea vehicles.  Following are some of the key capabilities as they apply to or target markets:  Kenautics is also in the process of designing R&D for Hybrid Diver-ROV/AUV and autonomous systems. We have recently established a large volume production agreement with a long-standing ISO-9001 sonar company for the production of DiNIS, allowing us to produce systems at a scale of 20-25 units per month with Initial Lead times of 8-16 weeks ARO.
